产品介绍：background: The multiprotein TRAP/Mediator complex facilitates gene expression through a wide variety of transcriptional activators. MED30 is a component of this complex that appears to be metazoan specific (Baek et al., 2002 [PubMed 11909976]).[supplied by OMIM, Nov 2010] Function: Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold forv the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Tissue Specificity: Expressed in brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta and skeletal muscle.
