[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016].] Function: Export adapter involved in mRNA nuclear export. Binds mRNA which is thought to be transferred to the NXF1-NXT1 heterodimer for export (TAP/NFX1 pathway). Binds NXF1, enhances its RNA-binding activity and is required for its localization to the nuclear rim.
